We have hired new people, specialists for leading areas that have given their best to "built" an experience that will be unique for our dear guests. On the other hand, please let me tell you what we have done since last February, because we have invested resources in different aspects: We have organized many trainings with all the areas of the hotel to reinforce our service. I know that we would have never wished you to live what you have just written. That breaks my heart! The restaurant staff also try hard to get to know us individually. Breakfast included hot options cooked to order and a small buffet. We learnt that the restaurant won a ceviche contest and the dish was always available on the menu when we were there. We enjoyed the food especially dinner which was excellent (and we are foodies).

We had a nespresso machine in our room (a plus for us) as well as water bottles in the room which we could refill at the bar. The staff also helped arrange a restaurant booking for lunch as well. They were especially helpful to us when we quite urgently needed to get to town before shops closed before a public holiday to find a luggage shop, and when they couldn’t get a taxi easily, the manager actually drove us into town himself and also took us for a beer (we had a bad travel day). However the hotel staff try to compensate for this as much as possible, and can arrange car transfers to town and then we got an uber back.
#BEST HOTEL AWA PUERTO VARAS FREE#
As we didn’t have a car and one free day in our schedule, the location wasn’t the best especially given it was over a long holiday weekend. The hotel is located about thirty minutes by car from Puerto Varas. We learnt that the property was designed by a young architect. The gym was a plus for us as we had not seen any gyms in the properties we stayed at in Argentina nor Chile to date.
The hotel also included an indoor pool, spa facilities, a small gym with a water rowing machine and strider, as well as kayaks and bikes which could be used. The hotel was fairly new and small with 16 rooms almost all of which face onto the lake and have beautiful views of Osorno (volcano). We stayed based on a half board basis which included breakfast as well as either a three course lunch or dinner with some beverages. Based on our agent’s recommendation, we stayed at Hotel AWA for three nights and were given a suite room on the third floor.
